Harry Potter Quilt Along - Week 29

Welcome to Week 29 in our  Harry Potter Bookcase Quilt Along! We are nearing the end! For your reference, the remainder of our QAL will be presented as follows:
  • July 22 - Week 30
  • July 29 - The Project of Doom Pattern Archive (to include original blocks, all block updates and variations in one handy location) & New Optional Layout Instructions (much more fun than the 2011 version!).
  • August 5, 2015 - Design Invitational Entries Posted. Please read the rules at the link before submitting your patterns. Designs that do not follow the rules will not be included.

    And now... Week Twenty Nine! 

    Here we are, just one week away from the final reveal of ALL the new blocks for our Harry Potter Bookcase Quilt Along!

    This week's pattern, the cauldron, has been modified slightly from the 2011 version to make it easier to piece. The "potion" portion is now all one piece of fabric so if you've been saving something special to fussy cut, now is your chance!

    There is only one variation, today, but I'm especially pleased to share it. I imagine Hagrid decided Harry needed a pumpkin, and Harry not knowing what else to do with it, tucked it on the bottom shelf! I thought it would be a fun alternative to anyone not wanting a cauldron.

    Project of Doom 2015 - Signature Block

    You're invited to share a block for a special 2015 Signature Quilt commemorating our Harry Potter Quilt Along!

    Names can be hand or machine embroidered, printed fabric, fabric pen, marker, or stenciled with fabric paint/pen, etc. are all acceptable. Please, no iron-ons or transfers. 

    This quilt will belong to me and is my way of remembering everyone that quilted along in 2015!
