There And Back Again - Month 03

To the end of his days Bilbo could never remember how he found himself outside, without a hat, walking-stick or any money, or anything he usually took when he went out; leaving his second breakfast half-finished and quite unwashed-up, pushing his keys into Gandalf's hands, and running as fast his his furry feet could carry him down the lane, past the great Mill, across The Water, and then on for a whole mile or more.

All TABABOM patterns are paper pieced. A little lost? We have a full list of tutorials and other helpful information about paper piecing on our Help! page. If you have questions about the site or our Block of the Month, please check ourFAQ page.

You can join us on our adventure by posting your photo of each month's block to the Fandom In Stitches flickr group. The first Tuesday of each month, a winner will be chosen at random from those participants that contributed photos. That winner will receive the prize donated by our awesome monthly sponsors!

Meet our December Sponsor, Fateful Fiber!

Fateful Fiber offers handspun yarn, hand knitted items and more!

The prize for our lucky December winner is 160 yards of bulky weight handspun merino yarn in bright colors called "The Party Tree." This yarn comes as a hank, but will be wound into a cake upon request.

Remember, to be entered to this gorgeous handspun yarn from Fateful Fiber, add your There and Back Again block photos to the Fandom In Stitches flickr group! Only photos from the flickr group that are posted in December will be eligible for the drawing.

  2. What a fantastic block!

When I visit my parents later this month, I'm going to try printing on their printer - hopefully I'll have better luck with the sizing issue.

  3. Love the There and Back. It reminds me of the roads in Death Valley that my husband loves so much. I am gong to substitute a "desert" type fabric, and he will love it. thank you so much.
