Mini-Challenge - Runs With Wolves

Quileute Tattoo Quilt Block
Quileute Tattoo, designed by Catherine Magraith
edited by Jennifer Ofenstein

Every once in a while, a pattern comes along that stops you in your tracks.

This intricately designed Quileute Tattoo pattern, inspired by the wolf pack as depicted in the movie versions of the Twilight series was designed by our own Twilight Quilter, Cat Magraith.

We here at FiS are so inspired by her amazing design, we've decided to offer a prize for the very first person to make this block and post it to the Fandom In Stitches Flickr Group.

  1. Really? It looks like a tattoo, but not the Wolf Pack tattoo. All of the detail has been lost, including the wolves.

  2. I commented on this yesterday but it doesn't seem to have gone through.
so I'm just going to repeat myself :P

I really love this pattern :)
it must have taken weeks if not months to complete.

from a designer point I don't think anyone could have done this better. I thought about trying to do this for one of the extra blocks on my twilight BOM quilt, but I just thought it couldn't be done :)

(I think I might turn it into a pillow to go with the quilt)

  3. It looks very "wolfish" to me. I do not know the fandom, but if the graphic underneath is the tattoo, then that block is amazing! Great work.
