Fandom in Stitches Featured Friday: Jane Korsberg

Welcome Fandom friends as we celebrate the Designers and Pattern Testers who make Fandom in Stitches a reality. As often as possible, we'll be sharing a Friday Feature of one of our amazing Designers or Pattern testers so you can get to know them better!

Want to design for us? Find out how here!

For today's Feature Friday, please welcome Designer & Tester, Jane Korsberg!

AS A DESIGNER:

What inspired you to start designing Fandom patterns? What was the first pattern you shared with our community?
"When I discovered FIS, I was hooked!  I made quite a few projects from the patterns available (Star Trek, Sesame Street, Very Hungry Caterpillar, Harry Potter, etc) and, after being a tester, I decided I'd love to learn to design (what else was I going to do during the Pandemic?).  The first pattern that I shared with our community was A Chorus Line."

What is your favorite kind of pattern to design?
"I'm still new at this, but I do enjoy designing for events and blocks from the request sheet."

Favorite All-Time Fandom Design by you?
"It is difficult to choose. But my most recent Fandom was doing Disney's Encanto characters."

Favorite non-fandom thing you've designed?
"A portrait of my Mom as a young woman (although not paper-pieced)"

AS A PATTERN TESTER:

What inspired you to start testing patterns for the Fandom in Stitches community? What was your first tested Fandom pattern?
"As a theater lover,  the Broadway Playbill blocks inspired me to become a tester."

What was your first tested Fandom pattern?
"it was the Beauty and the Beast block (Beast with the rose)"

Do you have a designer you test for the most? If so, who?
Yes, I am a big fan of Holly Urbain's patterns.

What kind of non-fandom projects do you like to work on?
"I enjoy making paper pieced quilts and BOM projects."

Anything else you'd like for us to know?
"I'm excited for the upcoming Peanuts Character patterns!!"

Please give Jane some love in the comments and let her know which of her patterns you've tried!

If you post on social media, be sure to tag @fandominstitches so we'll see your awesome work!
