At some point while scrolling through Pinterest and came across the Serenity Chinese characters and I knew I wanted to make it. From there I found Fandom in Stitches and started my first project, a Serenity wall hanging for a friend.
When I showed my nieces the site, they asked if I could do a PoD quilt for them and I said sure. Many mistakes, a lot of cussing, and incredible support from the Facebook group I completed my first two quilts for my nieces. I was hooked with paper piecing and Fandom in Stitches. There are many wonderful designers and users that support each other. To date I've made one Ravenclaw, one Slytherin, and two Hufflepuff PoD quilts.
I took a break from PoD to do a quilt for my wife and mother. Once they are completed I'll be starting a multi-fandom quilt for dear friends.

When I started down this rabbit hole i had a Singer that I got as a Christmas present a decade ago. When I started my nieces quilts, my mother bequeath to me her Designer-I Husqvarna.

Two years ago my wife's Brother, which was bequeath to her from her mother, bit the dusk and we purchased a Brother Essence VM5200 which has gotten me into embroidery.
Last year my wife gave me the green light to get a longarm. So Fandom in Stitches has had a major impact on my life and has given me a new hobby. I won't mention the amount a fabric we have acquired in the last few of years. That is a whole different hobby :)
I cannot stress enough how grateful I am for Fandom in Stitches.
