The #friendsqal2022 was designed by Laura Shaffstall (@somecallmelolly) and was tested by Britney Lachelle, Jennifer Rowles, & Jennifer Waugh!
This fun quilt along has 3 quilt layouts to choose from, a complete alphabet, plus fabric amounts to get you started!
A new pattern will follow every Wednesday through December 14, 2022, culminating in a Design Invitational on December 21, 2022.

5" x 10" paper pieced with optional embroidery
Use the following quilt instructions to help choose which patterns to make:
- Background Yardage (Light purple) needed – approximately 3 - 4 yards.
- Black fabric – approximately 1 yard.
- Sashing fabric (Orange) – approximately 2 - 2 1/2 yards.
- Border fabric (Yellow) – approximately 1 - 1 1/4 yard.
- Border Fabric (Dk Purple) - approximately 2 – 2 1/2 yards.
- Other Assorted colors in small amounts (typically less than a fat quarter).
QUILT B – (FRIENDS)
approximately 63" x 72"
- Background Yardage (Light purple) needed – approximately 3 – 3 1/2 yards
- Black fabric – approximately 1 yard
- Sashing fabric (Orange) – approximately 1 5/8 - 2 yards.
- Border fabric (Yellow) – approximately 5/8 – 1 yard.
- Border Fabric (Dk Purple) -needed approximately 1 5/8 - 2 yards.
- Other Assorted colors in small amounts (typically less than a fat quarter).
QUILT C- (No Words)
61" x 58"
- Background Yardage (Light purple) needed – approximately 2-3 yards
- Black fabric – approximately 1 yard
- Sashing fabric (Orange) – approximately 1-1 1⁄2 yards
- Border Fabric needed approximately 2 yards
- Other Assorted colors in small amounts (typically less than a fat quarter).

- This event is hosted on Fandom in Stitches & these posts are written by Jennifer Ofenstein.
- All posts will go live weekly on Wednesdays at 8 am CST.
- All blocks are paper pieced, some include embroidery.
- Blocks vary in size. Because we have 3 different quilt finishing options, those choices will be shared weekly so you know which blocks to make for your quilt.
- Patterns are rated 1 out of 5 by difficulty (1 being the simplest, 5 being the most complex).
