  1. I'm a brand new newbie that has never pieced anything. I quilt simple things(traditional log cabins and stars) and do simple applique, but But I have a granddaughter who is Harry Potter nuts and she's turning 5...and she wants a Harry Potter quilt. Given that I know very little, I humbly ask....how hard would this be? It is such an amazing idea.

    1. Hi there! We have beginning paper piecers join us all the time and you'd be more than welcome. We have a tutorial to get you started (under Tutorials or you can go straight here: http://www.fandominstitches.com/2014/02/paper-piecing-art-learn-with-jennifer.html). We also have groups over on Facebook where we have lots of quilters available to help answer questions if you get stuck. I'd rate this as an intermediate pattern, so you might want to practice on something a little bit simpler first. We have a multitude of Harry Potter themed patterns (check our main menu) to get you going!
