About the Blocks:
About the Layouts:
General Event Information:
- There will be 16 blocks to choose from. You will need 12 if using one of the layouts above.
- The yellow fabric amounts for the Minions is not included with the layout information. We recommend that you use a yellow fabric that is consistently available in a fabric line such as a Kona, a Moda Marbles, or any blender fabric that is a constant in a manufacturer's line. You'll need approximately a yard, depending on your piecing style. When in doubt, buy more!
- This quilt CAN be completed without embroidery: Some blocks required extra embellishment for details such as eyes, mouth, hair, etc. Can be hand embroidery, fabric paint, or anything that works for you. The photos and patterns show suggested details for the blocks. You should choose what you want to add and how you want to add it!
About the Layouts:
- There are three 12-block layout options provided (above).
- Each 12 block layouts is approximately 65" by 75".
- Layouts range from easy to difficult for skill level. It’s advisable to really look over the layout options prior to picking out fabric and choosing one. Pick one you to suit your skill level and preference.
- The layout fabrics are not needed to get started with the blocks. Not sure which one to do? Decide later!
- Each layout can be modified to accommodate 15 or 16 blocks instead of 12. Additional instructions to modify the size will not be provided but can be discussed in the Facebook group.
