Behind every great King there is a great Queen

7.5" x 5" (finished) paper piecing and embroidery

Hello everyone, Alida here!

I want to honor the fact that March is Women's month: we all know that behind every great king there is an amazing queen ;)

Stephen King's wife (Tabitha) happens to be a writer as well, so I decided to pick the only book by Tabitha King that I read ("The Trap", a.k.a "Wolves at the Door") and stitch both the book cover and a quote from the book. However, since this quote needed to be "different" than all others by Stephen, I decided to pick the last sentence of the book (instead of the opening line) for Tabitha's book :)
I am really pleased about how they turned out... even if I must say that the titles in those book covers are pretty small and end up being a little wonky. But I love them, so that's all that matter ;)

And I hope you like them too!

If you stitch any of them, I would love to see them in our Flickr group!!
It would be great to see that I am not the only one enjoying them ;) plus you get a chance to win fabulous monthly prizes! You receive one entry for each project. Only photos posted to Flickr are eligible to win.

Until next time...
Happy sewing!!
