Cover Your Ears!

Instead of roots, a small, muddy and extremely ugly baby popped out of the earth. The leaves were growing right out of the top of his head. He had pale green, mottled skin, and was clearly bawling at the top of his lungs.

    Thank you, Cat!! This is one of my most favorite magical creatures and I really wanted it on my quilt. The other pattern -while beautiful - is just waaaay too complicated for my skills. Your pattern is wonderfully manageable!

      Glad you like it :) the example shown was made at 5" and was simple enough at that size. If you want to make it easier, you can enlarge it to 10". i used a couple of beads for the eyes, but you could also do it with a couple of french knots for eyes too :)
